How can I dispute my tax assessment?

HMRC do not always get it right and their assessment of your tax liability may be excessive. You have the right to appeal against a tax assessment if you think it is incorrect, normally within 30 days of it being issued to you. Not every case is clear cut: we can help you with this process and advise you whether an appeal is worthwhile.
