Getting started

What we will do:

  • Inform HMRC that we are acting on your behalf.
  • Supply you with an engagement pack, outlining our terms.
  • Check your identification documents, to comply with Money Laundering regulations.
  • Help you to select and apply for a VAT scheme, suitable for your circumstances.
  • Apply for a PAYE scheme in your company’s name.
  • Supply and explain the forms needed to be submitted to Companies House if you are forming a new company.
  • Provide unlimited telephone and email support.
  • Help you to choose a company bank account and professional indemnity insurer.
  • Provide a planning and management tool to help you to keep track of your finances.

What we need you to do:

  • Sign and return your engagement letter, as this forms our contract.
  • Decide which fee structure you’d prefer. We offer two standard options.
  • Ask us about anything you don’t understand or would like further details in order for you to make an informed decision.
  • Keep us informed about any changes in your circumstances.

If you have an existing accountant, we will approach them on your behalf for professional clearance to take over your affairs and arrange for them to hand over any essential documents and information that they hold on your behalf.

When you are up and running

We will:

  • Provide bespoke advice on how to minimise your tax liabilities
  • Provide templates to enable you to maintain your accounting records
  • Run a payroll for the director and partner and complete returns on your behalf
  • Prepare and submit your corporate tax returns.
  • Prepare and submit your personal tax returns*.
  • Prepare and submit your company accounts and tax computations.
  • Provide updates on changes in legislation and policy affecting you.
  • Provide company secretarial assistance including completion of your annual return.
  • Continue to deal with all matters relating to HMRC and Companies House.
  • Continue to provide unlimited telephone and email support.
  • Provide you with an opinion on the IR35 status of your contract.

* Included within our standard fee we will prepare the tax return of the main fee earner of the company. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee if tax affairs are particularly complex, although this is unusual.
