Fundraising

Each year Hillier Hopkins supports a local charity by organising fundraising activities and events. In the past we have supported Watford WorkshopHerts Young Homeless, Waverley Driving Group, a local group of the Riding for the disabled Association (RDA) and Ali's Dream and raised almost £45,000 for these very important charities.

Our chosen charity for 2019 is the Oli Mills Foundation. This St Albans based charity was set up in memory of Oli Mills who died of a brain tumour in 2005 at just 18 years old. The Oli Mills Foundation supports Teenage Cancer Trust and makes a huge difference to the lives of teenagers and young people (and their families) who suffer with cancer.

Our annual charity lunch is on 10th May at The View suite at Watford Football Club, with over 200 local business people attending to raise money for this incredibly important charity. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, delicious 3 course lunch, guest MC Russ Williams, comedy from Adam Bloom and a charity auction and raffle. We also plan to hold a charity football match between Hillier Hopkins staff and the Oli Mills Foundation to raise money for them later in the year.

Volunteering

In 2017 members of staff in our Milton Keynes office were involved in the Community Action: MK Employee Volunteering Programme, with team members helping with planting and weeding on the Urb Farm, painting a school playground and sorting and packing up books to be sent to Africa. The team received an award for their efforts.

Environmental Management

We continue to implement new measures to decrease our environmental impact and reduce wastage which includes; working towards a paperless office by investing in document management software; and centralising our business teams, to reduce the need for travel between offices.
