Michael Kent

Michael has been advising business owners for over 40 years and helps on a wide variety of issues from accounting and taxation to training and human resources. He likes to work closely with clients and really understand what they are trying to achieve in the long term. As a business owner himself Michael can easily relate to the kinds of issues and challenges clients face and has knowledge of what does and doesn't work.

Skills and experience

Michael has considerable general practice experience, particularly in looking after owner-managed business and professional clients. He is currently the firm's HR Partner and has been involved in the human resource and training areas of the practice for over 20 years. This has enabled him to offer clients knowledge and experience in this complicated and ever changing area. 

After initially joining Hillier Hopkins in 1967, and after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Michael spent 2 years with Price Waterhouse before rejoining the firm in 1974.  Michael is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
