We specialise in advising a select group of clients over the age of 55 on how best to achieve their financial goals. Nearly all of our clients are concerned about how to protect their capital from bad investment advice, bad taxation advice or failed relationships. We work with families who find that over time they become extremely confident about their entire financial situation.

Our clients are both wealthy and discerning. Many come to us from the top private banks having grown frustrated with poor service and poorly performing investments.

Our advice is completely unbiased. We charge you a fee for our advice and decline all commission payments. Very unusually these days, it is sometimes not possible for a declined commission payment to be used to enhance a client's investment return; if this is the case we can accept the commission and then pass it to the client.

Clients' values and goals are at the heart of what we do for clients. Each of our clients are of course unique but many of them see themselves as family stewards.  We are fortunate in being able to provide integrated tax and investment advice. We have highly qualified investment specialists and tax specialists under one roof. We therefore advise on estate planning, risk management, asset management, retirement planning and charitable giving.

There are two key differences between us and the bulk of the competition:-

1)      Our approach is consultative rather than transactional. We see our involvement with families as an ongoing cyclical process and our fee charging structures reflect that position. In the UK most advisers are still transaction focussed i.e. their interest is in undertaking new transactions rather than servicing existing arrangements.

2)     Our investment approach is based on sound scientific principles. Work started in the 1940s and refined ever since has won the authors Nobel Laureates. Essentially we contend that the evidence is overwhelming that conventional retail investment management does not work.
